If there are ever any of the three remaining Rumpole books made into film who would you like to see as Rumpole? I would love to see Ralph Fiennes in the role. His comedy in the Grand Budapest Hotel was hilarious. I never knew he could be so funny.
shareThe problem with Fiennes is that he's too young (or at least young looking) than the incarnation associated with Leo McKern. Maybe a prequel to his younger days would work?
There was talk a while back that Albert Finney might take over the role, which I think would be a much better proposition.
Brian Blessed *might* be a good choice. Before he became a eccentric 'shouty' caricature, people forget that he's a good actor.....who sadly nowadays seems to play himself
