scene cut out

Hi!
I bought the DVD of this version of Pride&Prejudice some months ago on Amazon.com...I'm just wondering why the scene on the cover (Elizabeth and Darcy are walking together around Rosings, I believe) is cut it out. I think it's a very cute scene!

reply

I thought the cover picture was the final scene with Darcy and Lizzy at Longbourn.

reply

You're right. That scene is from the end of the miniseries when Darcy and Lizzy are at Longbourn, taking a walk and talking about why he fell in love with her.

reply

Thank u so much :)
And about this one?
Any ideas?

Isn't that when they're walking around Pemberley, when Lizzy's with her aunt and uncle Gardiner? My copy of the DVD (and DVD player) are in storage at the moment, so can't be 100% sure, but the house in the background looks grand enough to be Pemberley.

I lost my job
What? Why?... Not the Phantom Menace?

reply

Yes! I agree, the house looks to be Pemberly, but Elizabeth wears a blue military-style coat with no parasol at Pemberly. I know it's not important, but I'm a little curious about that scene...
I really don't know....

reply

I wonder if that might be a publicity still, taken on location during filming?

There certainly are plenty of publicity photos for the 1995 miniseries or the 2005 film--moments that never occur on screen.

It might be!
Thnk you so much for your replies :)

reply

Wouldn't it be lovely, though, if it was from a deleted scene (and that scene made it onto a spec edition DVD)? (Wishful thinking.)
