just finished watching entire thing !

1. it felt like the episode An Officer and a Car Salesman was really supposed to be the grand finale . just with how the entire thing played out with Arthur being totally cleaned out, all three coppers either demoted or sacked. and the ending with Arthur and Terry walking into the sunset.

2. the Ray Daley Years were great except in the last season of the show the coppers were replaced nearly every episode which was a shame as I found D.S. Morley to be a good replacement. The Ray Daley years are very good compared to the s7 which was awful !

3. the way show ends was sad in away as felt like any other episode ! I was hoping they would have a court scene putting Daley away and all the coppers who hated him would be standing up clapping the judge !

Glad you enjoyed it. On the whole i prefer the terry maccann years, but i agree series 7 was dreadful.

i would not like Arthur to go to prison though, what would happen to 'Er indoors and the kids?

just to give finality to the show. ok not prison! I have thought more about this ! we should have seen a court case some of the previous cops turn up to see Daley put away but the judge lets him go and the last we see of Arthur is him giving a big smile to the cops.
