Terry in fight scenes

I have just watched the first two series of "Minder", what I don't get and what annoys me is Terry in fights. Does he EVER lose a fight or at least get badly beaten up? He pretty much steam rolls over everyone, no matter how big they are. Which is funny considering Dennis Waterman is a slight guy. Don't get me wrong, I understand that Terry's supposed to be a ex-boxer turned brawling minder, but "Super McCann" gets on my nerves. I'm supposed to believe that some bum that I could beat any day of the week (twice on Sunday) can take on and beat up multiple guys. Lunacy.

As the series go on (especially in the later ones), though still able to look after himself, he does seem to get roughed up a bit more than he did in the first few series of the show.

I loved his fight with jimmy nail. Did he ever have a fight wth ray winstones character? I cant remember but compared to the hardmen he usually plays he always seemed a bit of a weed.

No Arnie was more a rougue character similar to Terry but not a hardman as such.
Though Winestone was a real life boxer and had already had THAT role several years before he was Arnie.

As for Terry he was known as a exceptional boxer and had been in prison, it's maybe a little unlikely he wins as many fights as he does, BUT on the opther hand it is his line of work.

Bare in mind that dennis waterman was an accomplished boxer in his own right (away from tv etc)
He was probably using the programme to bolster his masculinity.
Having a slight build isn't a practical method to judge someone's fighting capabilities
