Rip ! a true acting legend !

End of an era. All the way from those wartime 'cockney urchin' roles as a child actor; then playing roles such as the young Ebenezer Scrooge; Flash Harry the spiv; then the comic affable young twit parts (almost interchangeable with the type of roles played by Ian Carmichael) which came his way in the mid-fifties; then the jobbing character actor years; and then of course screen immortality as Arthur "What is occuring, Terence?" Daley.

An absolute legend. If there's any justice they'll run a season of his work in tribute. Unfortunately televsion is now run by philistines with little sense of history.

Sad news.

Can not believe the amount of people saying "thought he dies years ago?".... by most accounts was still pretty active and had just finished filming a movie, with something else in the pipeline.

Only recently got back into Minder due to reruns on ITV4, but will be dusting down the DVD collection over the few few days.

RIP Arthur!
