The trades are reporting this series coming out on DVD at long last in the UK and Australia in March 2010. It will be a complete first season release of the 1979 remake version with THAT theme tune. Should be up on the online sites soon.

Someone has added that Mediumrare Entertainment will release Season 1 of the 1979 series on 26th April 2010 on Region 2 and Region 4.

Hi. I received this DVD set yesterday and it plays great here in the U.S. where I live, with no need for a "Multi- Region" player as this set is region free and also works on my ATSC/NTSC format LCD tv.

Too bad just wished they could have at least made it to the 3rd season which had 2 really interesting stories one about Bigfoot & the other about Wolves.
The rest of this, the older series and original '58 movie really need to be put out by a larger company that doesn't have to worry about how well they sell, otherwise we'll never get to see them.
The older series who ever has it is probably just collecting dust and slowly rotting away somewhere.
Since I've never seen the rest of the older and newer TV series I would sure like to see them (especially one of the older episodes that starred Tommy Rettig who played Jeff on the original Lassie TV series) before I'm gone.
