The Littlest Hobo is Canada's Dr. Who?

The Hobo wanders across the country, emerging from the mist as if from nowhere, with the sole mission of helping everyone he meets. The Hobo’s nature has always been represented as omnipresent, and unflinching. He wanders the Great White North, stopping only to save its inhabitants from doom, greed, or inconvenience. Many have tried to adopt him, but once his mission is complete, he ventures back onto the dusty trail without so much as a goodbye bark.

He doesn’t even have a name! We call him The Littlest Hobo, because we are aware of his true nature, but that doesn’t mean it’s actually his name. Those he meets along his journey will sometimes name him, because they are unaware of his true nature and just think him some dog, but any such moniker is shed once The Hobo returns to his solitude. He’s like some kind of ancient demigod, who collects different names and titles from the different tribes or cultures that bear witness to him. I like to think The Hobo has a real name, but it is some Lovecraftian atrocity that will drive any mere mortal who tries to comprehend it insane.
