Why Didn't Someone Approach Peter Falk's Wife?

Peter Falk's wife would have been a great Mrs. Columbo.

Shera Danese? My guess is Peter Falk wasn’t interested in being involved with this spinoff.

I'm sure I read that Falk and pretty much everyone directly involved with Columbo wanted nothing to do with this. I'm sure Falk's wife would have stood by him.

Yes. I should have thought of that. Probably all of them could see that the scripts were not that good.
