A Fun Show

Just saw this for the first time since I was 8 or 9. It was truly a blast watching this!!

I had fond memories of this as a child. t wasn't NEW when i saw it...but I think in its first re-run. Around 85 or so.

Anyway, its definatly hack eyed, but a blast to watch. A camp classic!! I love the wind up robot Wiki!! seemed Jason used him to get out of EVERYTHING!

Sid Haig was GREAT as the evil Dragos!! I'm one of those late bloomers as far as Sid Haig fandom goes, knowing him mostly from Rob Zombie's films, but then realizing he was in tons of stuff I saw growing up...

anyway, he was delightfully over the top. He was like a Mustache twirling villian of an old serial, tying a girl to a train track!! But instead of tying up a girl...he's blowing up Space Academy!! For no reason ever stated really...

So if you like old, fun Sci-fi like Flash Gordon or Buck Rodgers...this show would be a worthy adition to your viewing!! A fun relic from my childhood...and a great footnote to live action children's tv!

Yes, I love this. I love that Dragos was evil because...he was evil! I like that board of monsters he has in the second season for no reason, they just look awesome! Such far-flung, crazy fun!

Yes, the 70's best sci-fi action show on the network in those days;I remember this program on ABC I think and yes it was fun!to watch. They should remake the show for tv today I would love to see it again. And Drago, was a great campy villian of old sci-fi children tv back in thoughs days when tv was fun on Saturdays for kids to watch.

And I have the DVD and I still watch them on Saturdays too.A show that was just fun and corny too;but that's what we love about this action show. And Sid Haig was great as the villian Drago and thoughs red monsters and the Dragon ship and just a really fun show.

I'm so glad I decided to read about this show after seeing the DVD cover art (and it reminding me of "Space Academy." I had totally forgotten about this show, but apparently I used to watch it! I bought the "Space Academy" DVD, and I've been watching it, searching for scenes that I recall from childhood, and not finding them. After looking at still shots from "Jason," I realize that's where I saw a lot of it. But being so long again, I really believed it all came from "Space Academy."

I bought this on DVD with Ark II and Space Academy as a box set.

I'm enjoying this. It's so over the top, fun nonsense.

I now remember why I liked watching it when I was 10 / 11.

It was Nicole...... I just realised why she intrigued my adolescent brain. She's very well built.

Cool, where did you get the box set? I'd like to buy it as well. I totally forgot about this show until today when I accidentally found some story about it online. That little Wiki thing is what I remember, I was about 5 or 6 when this was on the air so I can only remember bits and pieces of it. I'd love to get it on DVD.
