This episode was on today and I've seen all TFOL episodes in the past, but I can't really remember the story line too well, but how were Tootie and Natalie able to afford an apartment when neither of them appeared to have a job? I'm certain Tootie's mother wasn't paying for it because she wanted her to go to law school and not become an actress, and Natalie was the one who found the apt. I know she worked odd n' end jobs, but I'm guessing this was when she was 'in between' jobs. Then after a week or so they moved out, but wouldn't they have signed a lease they would have to live up to? I guess we weren't supposed to think too deeply about it, LOL.

Yes they were 'rich' and the 80's had cheap rent in NY--like dirt cheap in certain places esp if you were not too chosy. Plus this was still supposed to be 'escapist' about young women who had the good life. Jo is supposed to be the rough one and even she gets some breaks after all.
