While she was correct that it wasn't helping him OR Mrs G when she gave him money, I kept thinking to myself, REALLY Blair? Miss set for life because she gets money she's never earned? Miss 10,000 a week allowance? I just found that a bit hypocritical, judgmental and stupid coming from Blair.
shareI thought the same thing. She had a sense of entitlement, but I've known people on SSI (which is basically welfare) who act the same way. You would think they would be embarrassed to act that way.

Having to decide between buying Eastland and starting her own lawfirm was a shock--she could not get everything she wanted. That apparently did not work out though--bc eastland was sold off and Blair ends up (in the reunion) running a hotel.
Blair's family earned the money. That is what I said. Blair had an allowance and a trust fund from her family's money, not hand-outs from working people. She also did earn a small amount of her own money working in Mrs. Garret's gourmet shop.
sharepart time job while still living off of a trust fund nest egg is still different than being fully responsible for all your expenses. Blair herself wasn't paying for all her own expenses until the end of the series. She could not lecture Mrs. Garrett's son about finances.
