We always loved Flash when we watched DoH back in the day. The relationship between Roscoe and Flash was special. In what episode does Flash first appear? Because I just watched S1 1 and 2 and there's no Flash.

The first time I was in the South, outside of Charlotte, NC, my husband and I were walking down the long driveway of the B&B we were staying at when suddenly a basset hound and his pal, some kind of husky type mutt, appear on the road. We were petting them when A guy in overalls come up and says "you're not from around here are you?" " No." "That's Flash and Kato." Of course.

Umm, yeah, that's what we thought. It was about 1995/6 - just post OJ trial. Kato (the dog that is) was crazy - jumping around, running in the stream - Flash on the other hand, was mellow, just chillin in the road. And then that guy in the overalls - you couldn't ask for a more first time rural southern experience. I loved it.

Flash appeared in season 3. "Enos Strait to the Top" the episode where Enos leaves and goes to California
