No awards???

I can not believe that "Connections" (at least the first one) didn't get any kind of awards (according to IMDB)....even British awards.

Does anyone know if this is true, and, if so, why? It seems preposterous that a TV mini-series that is so original, so unique, captures the imaginations of so many and educates at the same time wasn't considered good enough for at LEAST an Emmy nomination. The research alone is mind-boggling.

Thanks for any input.

I think it's been recognized by various educational institutions, but I don't believe either series or James Burke himself have been awarded anything for the series.

It's really a magnificent series.
