Music NOT in the soundtracks

Does anyone know where I can find music from the Rose of Versailles that was not
put in the original soundtrack? Classical music pieses (from where charlote kills herself) or any other scene int the parties of Versailles palace. Or that flute piece in the episiode where rosalie is going to kill Madame Polignac? Any help would be awsome thanks

I happen to have one version of the soundtrack, wich is similar to the one you have (I think), but with one major exeption.
I dont know how many versions there are, but i have two albums.
One with all the tracks from the tv series, and one with the same tracks, AND BGMs from the series.

the BGMs, in this case, are instrumental tracks. In the TV - series, the short instrumental tunes played are simply cut-outs from these longer ost - tracks.

how I came across these albums i dont even recall anymore, but i know that i spent a LOT of time digging around on the net, and various other places.

It drove me crazy too, because i wanted those sweet instrumental tracks as well, and they are quite hard to find.

Berusaiyu No bara Original Soundtrack With BGM I think it's called, but im not sure.

Hope it helps /// Andre ///

First i want to thank you for the reply. Sencond i guess i could start by telling you one on the pieces not on the soundtrack (incase you are intrested). As you probably know by now they used a lot of classical music pieces in the anime. one of them is called "minuet" by bocherini (they usually play this in the versailles parties, its in episode 1 {the very first versailles party in the series where the women are desperate to see oscar} and i dont' know how many other episodes have it). I think that piece where Charlote comits suiside [episode 19] (the white rose brakes) is also a classical piece. Unfortuantely I don't know the name of it or the composer (I think its BACH but im not sure). I know they used a lot of music from Bach (for example when oscar is playing the piano). I also want that other piece where Charlote is walking around the vesailles palace at night and oscar tell her to go bak inside [epidode 19] i think (it starts getting windy outside) and there is a piano piece (may also be BACH). I wish i knew who its by. HERE IS A CRY FOR HELP TO ANYONE WHO HAS A GREAT AMOUNT OF KNOWLEDGE ON CLASSICAL MUSIC. please take a look at it an see if you can tell the name of these classicals. I know a lot about classical music but i guess its not enough cuz i couldn't recognize them. Thaks :)

O.K. here is a lot of music not added in the soundtrack. these are all pieces by Joan Sebastian Bach. They probably didn't add it for the simple fact of not getting rights to release them and ofcorse you can get these in a good bach collection. I actually sugest going to your public library and check out bach CDs and get the tracks there. I don't know how much luck you will have if you try to download it (i haven't tryed it). I don't know the exact name for them but they are usually refered as the following.

BWV 826 episode 2 & 9
BWV 825 episode 5 & 17
BWV 846 episode 7 ( this piece can be found with the well-tempered piano
or with a harp as Prelude in C minor [which is the one they used in ep. 7])
BWV 1066 episode 17
BWV 1046 episode 18
BWV 1067 episode 20
BWV 775 episode 22
BWV 776 episode 22 ( Oscar playing the piano )
BWV 788 episode 22
BWV 799 24 & 28 episode ( Oscar playing the piano )
BWV 801 episode 25 ( Oscar playing the piano )
BWV 774 27 -28 & 30 episode ( Oscar playing the piano )

Still, I'm wondering about the two musical pieces in episode 19 ( read the above post).

yes, i'm a nerd. but i do have a life. i promise :)

As someone here already has mentioned, a BGM Collection had been released as well, but only on LP and Tape. It contains more music tracks from the series and probalby the opening and ending song as well. But this album definately won't contain the complete BGM of "Rose of Versailles"...

I have heard about this collection as well and i think it does contain all the BGMs except for the Classical music (which i'm not to concerned with since you can find this anywhere else). But I'm guessing i contains evrything that was created specifically for this cartoon. If anyone knows where to get this please post. I'm even willing to buy a burned copy of of someone. If anyone has it and is willing to sell a copy please please please write to me at [email protected]

Thanks.

O.k. i found another piece of music used in the series. In episode 37 (i think) andre is trying to complement oscar's painting/portrait but he can't even see it. its a very emotional scene. the bacground music there is a classica music piece by Boccherini and its called "cello concerto in b-flat major adagio non troppo".
Here is a youtube site where you can listen to it http://youtube.com/watch?v=X2Lf99LV0gk (this you may be able to download somewhere).

Also, i came across another background music from the scene where rolasie is leaving Oscar's house (threatened by Mdm. Polignac). Its a soft violin version of "bara wa utsukuchiku chiru" (the main theme). And i have another piece not included in the soundtrack (its original bgm but i don't know what its called). If anyones intrested write me an email and i can attach it to a response :)

Again, music not in the soundtrack is really hard to find so if anyone knows or has other please post. thanks
