Does anyone know why?

reply

This was copied from the trivia section. Hopefully it well help if you haven't read it already. Other than this I don't know why he was fired but I do remember his character on the show.

Jerry Seinfeld arrived at work one morning and found that there was no script waiting for him. He asked why and was told that he had been fired. No one had bothered to tell him.

Funniest emoticon I've ever seen.

Yeah, I got that from the Seinfeld documentary, but there was no reason given for letting him go.

Rumor has it he stole a box of raisins.

reply

LOL!

I heard it was because he showed up for work one day wearing rainbow suspenders and when he walked in he said, "Who's ready to laugh?"

reply

I heard the wardrobe people got upset that he was always insisting on wearing a puffy shirt.

"You met me at a very strange time in my life"

The actual reason is that he wasn't Benson material

reply

He was working on the Penske file.

Jon Voight's car broke down on the way to rehearsal.

I liked Seinfeld's show OK, but could the reason have been he was terrible on the show? I cringed when I saw him in this show early in his career.

I believed they fired him because there was no where to put him on the show.

Or maybe b/c he's a terrible actor?
