How I thought future seasons should have gone.

I could see a new season of "Benson", or a spin-off series, where Benson won the election and is the new Governor of the State.

Kraus would still be his secretary, and Clayton would be his aide. This means that his repartee with both of these characters would still provide many of the laughs of the show.

Gov Gatling and Katie would have left the show, since Gatling's term is done, and he lost the election to Benson (they might appear in the first ep, to say goodbye).Also, the Mrs Cassidy character wouldn't be on the show anymore either.

The rest of the cast would be newbies.(Though it would be great if Ethan Phillips returned to the show to reprise his role as Pete Downie).

They still could use the same sets, and Benson have moved from his condo into the Governor's Mansion.

The premise would be focused on Benson dealing with life as Governor.
