Not as good as 'Soap'? Still worth watching?

Me and my dad have recently been watching "Soap", and we think it's hilarious. I rated it a 9. We're on season 3 at the moment, and we love Benson's character.

I noticed Benson got his own spin-off series. Is it any good? IMDB rates it with a low score of 7.1 (soap got 8.2). Is it worth watching after we're finished with "Soap"? Or is it one of those shows that only have a few good episodes, and if so, could you guys recommend us any episodes? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Never really watched Soap, but Benson's show was a hit item in syndication in 1986, which is when I started watching it. Hilarious.

I vote yes.

Not as good as Soap, but definitely worth watching.

Wait a minute... who am I here?

It was a great show-especially seasons 1-4.Just imagine Benson throwing his wise cracks around with a cast of new characters. Robert Guillaume really was an underrated sitcom actor.

I agree. He was excellent in the role, on both shows.

I think Season 2 was the best. Lots of favorite episodes in that one. Especially "Clayton, Go Home" and "The Governor's House Call".

Soap was really good in the first season but went downhill after that. Benson was good in the first season and got better as the show went on.
