Was any explanation given for Veronica Rooney's departure? In Store Wars (1983) Murray Klein asks Jose Perez & Raoul Rosario if they miss Veronica and they say no. Did they ever mention her quitting, getting fired, moving away, etc.?

I assume she quit because Archie wouldn't let her drink on the job, they never explain on that show.
