Where can I find this?

I have only just today heard of this adaptation, and I would love to see it. Any ideas where I can find a copy?

There is a French dubbed version (first five episodes), but where is the English version? Dubbed or subbed I don't care. Wotcha hurry up!

Some smart, some don't.

There's a link to a torrent of this on http://www.conversations-on-ghibli.blogspot.com/. As for getting a proper DVD release of this, I don't know.

there are only very short clips of it on youtube, and dodgy links where you can supposedly watch the rest of it...

This is where I bought mine, great copy! English subs are okay, but you get the idea.

The only way I've found to watch this was buy downloading via torrents. The site I'd found the torrents on has been shut down. Thankfully I burned them all onto a disc. They are just English subtitles, not dubbed.

you can watch it online here:

You could also download from that site

Thanks to everyone who has posted links. Some of them don't work anymore, but the KissAnime one is still up and I am watching the series there with English subs.

There was an English dub on Youtube but it recently got taken down. I'd really love to watch the series with the English dub (I thought the English voice actors did a fantastic job) but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If anyone see it come up, please post a link here! Thank you!

Ah, it got taken down!!!!!!!

I've searched everywhere but I cannot find this as the English dubbed version; it's vanished. Anybody help?

reply

I saved all 50 videos when they were up. I think Sullivan Entertainment has a copyright against them.

I also read the closing credits of the English Dubbed version and "Leephy Studios" was responsible for the English Dubbed version. I googled that company and only found one match in Africa.

reply

Thank you for your 2 messages. I have found this company on the net, exactly as you said. But we have to remember that this version was done in 1979 and S. Africa has undergone enormous changes since then. I guess you have all 50 episodes on DVD, or memory stick?

reply

Saved them to my external harddrive. I understand the frustration over this. Not sure why so unavailable in USA. How can I get these copies to you?

reply

Oh my, do you truly have all 50 episodes in English Dubs? I would be SO happy to be able to watch this in English!!!! I adore this show so much, and, like everyone here, am so baffled that Sullivan hasn't even thought to give this the proper attention it so deserves. I would love to share this show with family members, like my niece, mom, sister, grandma... but I feel that, watching it with Japanese language and English subtitles, would be rather off putting, considering where the story takes place! If there is ANY way to get these English dub episodes pleaaaassseee let me know! I totally wish I knew these existed on youtube when they were up! D: I would've snatched them up in a heartbeat *sigh* I just found out about this unknown English language dub version a little while ago after having finished the new Anne Of Green Gables movie that aired in November. Seeing that version gave me a similar feeling that this one did (only the anime was longer and more in depth). This is one anime I just got to have in English :o
