who survived?Does any boby know?

Can anyone tell me who survived the mission?

reply

well Colonel Faulkner, Shawn Fynn, Tosh, Jesse, as well as a handful of other guys the only name i can recall at the moment is Gennaro, anyone else out there who can shed some light?

reply

Thanks for information. Besides the five names you mentioned, what was rhe total # of survives?

reply

It escapes me now but I'm nearly certain that Faulkner DOES in fact name a definitive # to Sir Matheson before capping him. There is also a mention of a higher # survivng on the plane as it comes in to land but I think a few died between then & Faulkner killing Sir Edward.

I watched it yesterday and Faulkner states to Shawn Fynn that there are only 13 of us alive while on board the plane. They then throw one out (Jock maybe?) and then when he see's Matherson he says something about the other 11 men who are still alive so I believe 12 of the 50 survived.

reply

As stated above those mentioned survived. Including the one time named Gennarro. Also surviving was Derek, the radioman that was with Fynn at the dakota. He helps him into the plane and is the 2nd merc to get onboard. Also just remembered, Samuels, the merc looking after Limbani on the plane. He is mentioned a few times and has 2-3 lines

I own a Japanese souvenir program for The Wild Geese full of great pics, theres one of the interior of the plane at the end that shows the mercs inside however i cant identify anyone because thats in my house in NY and right now im in Seoul, Korea!

Get it fedexed to you?

reply

I've got a copy of the film here and could check, but I can't be bothered. I know Richard Harris's son survives, because I remember being quite annoyed.

WaaahooooOOOOOOOOOO! :-)

And Faulkner says to matheson at the end how difficult it was to get out of Rhodesia after they landed in Salisbury so maybe there was trouble on the way home?
