great movie but that song

I am the only one that thought that Joan Armatrading was off key and sounded horrible on her rendition of the theme song?

Actually, the whole score of the movie was ill suited for the action that was on screen - 2 quick examples: the parachuting scene and the killing the sentries at the barracks scene.

reply

yes u are. that song was frigging perfect for the film. captured the mood just right...

reply

I hate that song!!! I either spin over it to get to the film, or turn the sound right down until the film starts!! So, NO, you are certainly not alone!!!

reply

I wore out my TWG soundtrack vinyl album replaying Joan Armatrading non-stop while playing soldier during my late childhood. Good times .

reply

It's not just you. The song is painful. How she sells any records is beyond me.

Because a lot of people feel (and felt) differently.

Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!

Obviously. And that's perfectly cool. It just didn't work for some of us.
