AKA Why Regular People Make Terrible Drug Dealers

There’s a funny line early in the film when John (Michael Moriarty) says, “I’ve been waiting my whole life to f*** up like this.” Pretty much sums up the entire film. John’s stupidity and nihilism lead to a terrible decision that endangers both his wife and young daughter. Most of the movie is a road picture with Ray (Nick Nolte) and Marge (Tuesday Weld) on the run from crooked narco cops. John is certainly no Walter White and the movie shows how one monumentally stupid decision can throw an average family into complete chaos.

Too bad Begbie wasn't around to handle John.

Food in Films: One of the crooked cops chomps on slices of Wonder Bread slathered in mayo. Seems to really enjoy it.
