Tribute to Altman

I am writing this after hearing of our loss. One of the greatest directors of all time will truly be missed. I truly am shocked and have decided to show all of my Altman films this weekend. I probably will start of course with M*A*S*H* and end with a preview copy of "Prairie". I wonder how long "A Wedding" will take to come out on DVD now? This is truly sad.

If you haven't seen an Altman film, this film describes what he does best, with hilarious results. Any favorite lines?

This is one of his most underrated films, love every minute of it.

Here's a great anecdote about the making of the movie and a tribute to Altman:

Thanks so much for that link to the essay written by Mark Demming. Mark is a fine writer and captures perfectly what it was like to work with Altman. Altman will probably be missed almost as much by the cast and crews that worked for him as he'll be missed by his family.

I am really saddened that I'll never get to see another "new" Altman film!

We'll see whose the filthiest person alive! We'll just see!
