shareI had a feeling that they married one another because they felt comfortable with one another. Add to the fact that they would most likely hook up later on with their old loves in the future.
It was just normal to have a wedding with an old love scenario thrown into the mix.

Years after this question was posted, I'm also wondering. I couldn't figure out why Dino the groom would marry Muffin. She wasn't pretty or pregnant, and his family had the money. He certainly didn't seem into her at all, even drowning his sorrows in booze. Maybe he did it just to one-up his ex-roommate?
I can't decide if the lack of motivation was intentional, or a flaw in the movie...
