John Cromwell (Bishop Martin) and Ruth Nelson (Beatrice Sloan Cory, the lady who gives the notorious painting to the newlyweds) were married at the time of this film

Dennis Christopher plays the son of Paul Dooley in this film and two years later he and Dooley will play father and son again in "Breaking Away"
