Worst movie poster of all time?

and I don't mean me..hopefully lol.

No, I've always thought it's quite evocative. You can tell right away that it's not going to be lighthearted fare.

thanks that's quite possibly what the filmmakers were going for.

The title is very misleading. It sounds catchy, and makes you think of a sinking boat. Then you learn it's a story about rabbits....wtf?!

Okay then... So Watership Down is the actual name of the big hill in Hampshire, England where the story takes place in the original novel and in this excellent film adaptation.

It reminds me of the Jaws poster (1975), what with the dynamic upward profile of the rabbit, much like the shark, I think the designers were most likely inspired by it.

It's quite a sombre poster, and very unusual to have such a long tagline. Granted back in the seventies, taglines were more in the way of a longer sentence, but here we get a lengthy prose, and what a beautifully dark prose it is.

That line always stuck with me, '...if they catch you, they will kill you, ...but first they must catch you!'

It's a chilling line, but also a re-affirming one, over the enemy.

God Bless x*
