The only annoying thing about the movie - Keehah

Or rather, his voice actor. He reminded me of a Russian Dom DeLuise. I've just seen the movie recently after a looong time and I was so surprised to realize that I had apparently blocked out this character out of my memory completely.

I don't hate him, since the movie is so good it actually soaks in the annoyance created by him after a while.

No no I love Keehah!

"Stooopid Bunneeees!!" ....."Beeeg waatah!"...LOL.

The bit where he shouts 'Piss off!' delighted us time and again.

I love Keehar.

Ever since I was little I would always feel sad when he disappeared in search of the 'big vater' after helping the gang rescue the rabbits from Efrafa, his last moments in the film.

I do like to think he came back to visit them from time to time.

I agree. I just watched it for the first time in years and I didn't realize just how annoying the character is. It actually comes close to ruining the movie because it's so out of place in the movie.

Keehah was comic relief in a very heavy film. Zero Mostel died too young.

Love Mostel's performance. Whenever I read the book it's his voice I hear in my head.

I loved Zero Mostel, however, I did not love this portrayal of Keehar. I absolutely loved the character of Keehar in the book, but in the film he seemed kind of mean to the rabbits. Perhaps he was just giving them tough love, lol. I didn't pick up a strong bond between the rabbits and him. But I also realize that every aspect of a nearly 500 page book can't be incorporated in a 90 minute film. Sad to think it was Mostel's last appearance. He was comic genius and died way too young.

One other point made my Alfabeta, the OP....interesting that you were reminded of Dom DeLuise, since Mostel and DeLuise were both good friends of Mel Brooks and used to great and similar effect in some Brooks' early films.

Much needed comic releif...loved the portrayl of Keehah.
