Best ending for an animated film ever

I know I probably sound silly saying this, but I get emotional watching that last scene with Hazel. It's such a powerful way to end it all - eery, sad, sentimental, promising, and even happy all at the same time.

I'd probably have to agree.

And not just animated but just one of the best film endings ever.

I agree it's a highly emotive scene.

Whilst I think Watership Down is the superior film, I think I prefer the ending of 'The Plague Dogs' though.

I watched it the other day and cried. Best way for such a heroic character to go out.

If there is an afterlife, an envoy like the Black Rabbit would be the best way to go.

I agree very sad but good ending.

My eyes always fill up and sniffles with this. Always.

All the world will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand enemies. And when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.
