Just read the book

Easily the best book I have ever read, just a couple of conserns:

-Does the movie follow the book well?

-I'm sort of afraid that they made it too child friendly, the book certainly wasn't.

-Is it dated?

Just wanted to know.

-Is it dated?
When it comes to movies, or anything that can be enjoyed "dated" is a silly term, as it all depends on how you view things, and if you think something has reply value.

For me? No, it is not dated, because it is just as enjoyable and entertaining as it was when it was a new movie, and I didn't even see it when it was new, as I wasn't even born then. I just don't buy the term "dated" when used for things like movies.

I have never seen it myself. However I have heard it described as horrfying, terrifying, nightmare inducing, and not kid friendly at all so make of that what you will.

It's been a while since I've read the book, so I can't really say how well it follows it. However, the animation is beautiful and I think it holds up well. Also, there are a lot of terrifying images that children shouldn't be watching. I don't think they tried to make it for children, thank goodness.

The movie does really well against the book. Now the spiritual aspect was nearly added to the movie. They touched on the rabbits faith but really didnt delve into their spiritual journey as the movie does.
