It seems most people here are at least in their 20's. I'm only 17, and I just saw this movie a few months back. I really liked it, and I even bought it on amazon. I'll have to get my friends to watch it, as they somehow missed out on this movie and never got to see it.
How old are the fans of watership down?

Well I'm 37, and trying to get a 19 year old to watch it. He's never heard of the film.
Next - the Plague Dogs, the most depressing animation until Grave of the Fireflies.

We GenXers grew up with this film and the bestselling book.
This film, which I saw on HBO back in the early 80s, changed my life -- the book did as well. The film just destroyed me. Brutal but beautiful. Lord Frith: "There will be no bargains..."

It's nice to see that this film's audience still has a good age range. I wonder how many of this years' crop of animated movies can or will say the same. :)

I am 30 and I saw the animated film in the mid 80's when I was little but I'm just now reading the book.
I remembered the film being really scarey and odd but it always stuck with me lol.

I saw it today, i'm 19. I thought it would be a kids movie until I saw how much violence there was. It was a really awesome movie I might buy it on DVD! I can't believe i've never seen this before.
You have cartoons that have violence (Eg. Happy Tree Friends and Friends or South Park) but I think what made this film eerie was the fact that it was a very serious type of film. 10/10 :D

I read the book first, and was bitterly disappointed with the film
Gotta agree with you there...the film left much to be desired. The most thrilling plot points were shorted to where they meant nothing or weren't there at all.

I'm 30 now - I saw the film and read the book when I was about 8 to 10 - loved it then, love it now. Had kind've forgotten about it but I just clicked on a link from the Donnie Darko boards and saw this:

21 now. Saw it when I was about 5 or 6 - found it incredibly scary but loved it. Read it a few years later, then found the DVD when I was in my teens. Fantastic film!

i saw it when it was on tv as a youngster, about five or six, thought it was cool. i discovered a few years later that my grandad was a fan when he got the video for his birthday one year from my gran, i was about ten, he must have been in his early sixties. i used to watch it every now and then at my grandparent's house when i was there but had'nt thought about it at all really for a good few years, i'm twenty one now, watched it last night on film four and it still rocks and it still creeps me out and bigwig is still the man, well.....the rabbit.

Dammit, now you got me going all misty. That scene always tears me up even after seeing it a dozen times. The most touching scene in the film....

This is my favourite film of all time and has been since I first watched it aged 3.
There are plenty of passionate fans of the film out there who can look past the godawful "Bright Eyes".
27 here. Read the book when I was 8 (thank you dad!) and then rented teh movie immediately afterwards! I love them both.

I'm 18 and I saw this movie when I was god knows how young. I was pretty young. 3 or 4 at most. I don't remember my first time watching it, but my mum said I enjoyed it. Probably because there was talking Bunny's...I dunno. And I always laughed when Kehaar swore. At least, I think he swears. So I've loved this film for the majority of my life, but I only just bought the book today! So I'm gonna start reading it. ^_^
