He actually called himself "Jock o' the Orkneys". The Scottish cannot physically pronounce "of".
shareDon't talk pish, plenty of us can pronounce "Of", it's just we have a language of our own called Scots in which we pronounce English words different to how the original is.
That's an accent mate, not a language ;)
sharedouble pish (and I'm not scottish) of course scots is a language. an accent is merely variations in pronunciation, a language has it's own distinct vocabulary and grammar. granted, there is some debate about if it's a dialect or a language (but you are entering a world of pain to even start on that one and you'd also need to be a linguistics specialist) but there is absolutely no debate about it being far more than an accent.
