Ok, I love this movie, but every time I see Terance I laugh myself silly.
You have to admit that putting a gay character in a children's movie ... in the 70's (!) is way ahead of its time. ... Terance is way over the top too. Singing about diamonds and tiaras. Heehee I LOVE this movie!!
He does seem rather high-class and camp, doesn't he.

shareHe may be gay but that is just a great way to entertain the adult as well as the child. After all children will just find him funny because he is silly and not because of his sexual preference and stereotypcial behaviour!

You first realize that Terrance is gay when he comes out the door and says "hello" in a really gay way. He also calls the lobster dear. And when he's singing "I coca lorem" He says the line, "This musical play, it's turned me gay" So I'm guessing he hasn't been gay all his life.
