Wanted: Copy of this movie

You're not the only one looking. A beautiful, restored print was screened at Cinemateket in Stockholm a few months ago (I attended both screenings, I don't want to miss any opportunity to see this rare film). It hasn't been shown on Swedish television since the late 80's, and to my knowledge, it has never been issued on VHS. I asked Ronny Svensson, film expert and DVD producer for SF, and he answered: "Yup, we sure want to release it on DVD, but it is SFI that have the rights". SFI replied to my inquiry that SF have the rights, so it's all a big mess. Too bad, because this film is a masterpiece and deserves a bigger audience. If you find a copy, let me know!

I have talked to some people at SFI, and they say that the film might be released on DVD next year, they're looking into it right now, but they are sitting on the rights. If that's true, it's almost TOO good.
