after watching this again after not seeing it for awhile i must say this is the best cannibal film.

It's awesome, but I prefer Mountain of the Cannibal God and Cannibal Ferox over this one.

i like mountain, but i was dissapointed by cannibal ferox. i expected it to be very brutal and entertaining but after seeing it i found it to be kind of boring. what do you think of cannibal holocaust?

I felt the same way as you about Cannibal Ferox. All the best parts of the film are in the trailer, so if you've seen the trailer you've seen the best of the film really.

But yeah, Jungle Holocaust is a solid little film. Not my fav, but it's up there.

yeah, cannibal ferox isn't so great.
i think cannibal holocaust is probably the ultimate cannibal film and maybe the best, but jungle holocaust is still my favorite.

Cannibal Holocaust is my pick. This one was pretty boring except for out leading lady getting cooked and eaten.

I agree about JUNGLE HOLOCAUST being the best of the Italian cannibal movie cycle. I've seen them all and it's clearly the king of the lot. The acting, writing and shot design are first rate and it's far more intelligent than the bulk of its kind. Only CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST and THE MAN FROM DEEP RIVER invite any real comparison, but both fail to live up to the storytelling bravura of JUNGLE.

Totally agreed, very good assessment! I also seen most of cannibal films and consider JUNGLE best of the lot due to its technical merits, good use of camera and script. It might be slow at times, but it’s very well acted. I wish they’d clean it up for blu-ray rerelease. Even when they released it in 2000s on DVD the picture quality was only fair. It could use brighter and sharper image.
