missing scene: possible spoiler

I picked up the region 2 dvd released by CMV laservision for the film (it goes under the name of S.O.S Bermuda).

It has the much shorter German version and as a bonus the US (assuming uncut) version. However I just watched the disc and despite the run time difference there is one scene that appears in the German version and not the US.

If any of you have the US dvd for this can one of you let me know if this scene is present? It occurs towards the very end. It is the scene when the little boy is walking on the top of the deck and the fog is all around him. It then cuts to the capt trying to use the radio again. However in the German version in between these two scenes it does show you a quick shot of the mini raft (the one with the girl) drifting in the water and both men are missing. It just has the dead girl lying in the raft. It then goes to the normal capt on the radio scene.
