Or just make a movie about the Bermuda Triangle (if not a remake of this). I'm surprised it hasn't been done already. It sounds like a job the director of The Day After Tomorrow/Independence Day would be dying to do

Agreed. This is one movie that could actually benefit from a remake. The premise had potential, but it's let down by slack direction, sluggish pacing, and an overly talky and uneventful script.
