How many blaggers

Can anyone suggest how many blaggers there actually were to begin with? Their names are read out at the end of the film, but I got the impression that we didn't actually see all of them. It seemed that only one of them (Pete?) was killed in the first raid, yet one of the cops says "We got TWO of them, excluding the driver". I wonder, was there originally a shot of a second dead blagger, that was not included because it was considered too gory? Answers on a postcard please...

I played a small part of detective on this film with Tom Clegg directing. He used me many more times on other shows inc McVicar.

Which part of the film do you appear in?
Its a shame there wasn't more British cop films like this in the 70's. I think this one stands up well after all this time. I remember it got butchered when shown on ITV a few years back. The scene near the end was so heavily cut i had no idea the guy had the shotgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger! Anyway, i now have the full version on DVD thankfully. Love the first film as well.

I've just checked the credits and your one of the detectives hanging out in the hotel bar. I love that scene, as i can just imagine the fuss if that turned up in 'The Bill'!!!

Thats a great website! That is some career getting to work on films directed by some of the greats. Kubrick, Spielberg, Hitchcock, De Palma, and George Lucas!
Enjoyed your piece about The Devils, thats one of my favourite films, and one of Ken Russell's best. Dudley Sutton gives a great performance in it.
Did you know the guy that played 'Razors' in The Long Good Friday? Apparently my dad knew him.
