I wonder if this obscure 70s action flick will ever see the light of day on DVD. Anchor Bay or Blue Underground should be getting on this. I think it deserves a release. It's the kind of movie where you just park your brain at the door and enjoy. Best acting probably goes to Bill Watson as Lonigan. He was a terrific villian in this.
Stingray was released on VHS many years ago, but has since gone out of print and is difficult to find. So a DVD release would be appreciated.
There's currently a copy of the VHS tape on ebay. I bought a copy a few years ago and burned it to DVD.

Looks like Code Red will be giving Stingray an official DVD release sometime in 2008.

Well I hate to disappoint the lieutenant, but no I did not make the order. Apparently, this has been yet another broken promise by Code Red. One time I e-mailed them and asked how the prospective release was coming along. The response was it was put on hold because they were having difficulty tracking down decent vault materials for a suitable transfer.

Nope, Stingray never did get released by Code Red, not yet anyway. And judging by Code Red's track record of releasing DVDs, we're in for a long, long wait.
shareCode Red told me that due to it already being released in the "Bullet Wounds" set, they have moved on.
shareStingray is on YouTube movies---in its entirety. The quality is pretty good (but it does have commercials). Still it's worth seeing again after all these years! :)
