Apparently this film was based on the Audrey Hepburn/Cary Grant film "Charade." In fact, the glossy Japanese film programs that turn up on eBay show the title there as "Charade: 1979."

That's interesting. I love how U.S. films are retitled for foreign markets. In Japan, "As Good as It Gets" (with Jack Nicholson) was titled "Mr. Cat Poop."
