Remake Slithis!

Great campy horror film - along the same 'out there' shlocky horror as 'Sleep Away Camp' (I know: one is a mutant monster from the depths, and another is some goofy Jason-esque killer camper girl/man/wierdo). But Slithis was great in the heyday of American B horror movies. And I mean -- how BAD could it do next to the remade Hills Have Eyes, Amytiville (sp), The Omen - have they remade Jaws yet?
Before ye cast judgment, I just want to say that I DO support the creative enterprise that USED TO BE Hollowood film making. And I always keep my eyes out for new films, but in this decline and fall of American cinema, reaching rock bottom with ideas, and then RUINING classic horrors -- why not take a chance on some of the B films that never got such a cult following? Only handfuls of people still remember these classics, and IF hollowood has run out of steam, why not pick the non-mainstream?
Just a suggestion

Despite what you may think, to be considered a classic doesn't mean it has to sell hundreds of thousands of copies. To be a classic, a movie has to be GOOD, And to still be considered good decades later. This is one of those movies..

Instead of people remembering the truck scene in Dawn Of The Dead (original) or the biker gang, they remember the rooftop scene and the armored bus in the remake. Instead of Vincent Price they think of Paris Hilton.
All films considered 'holy' in the horror and gore genre are being desecrated one by one.

I wouldn't mind a re-make of Slithis, maybe we'd get less talk and more Slithis. The Slithis monster was cool, but the movie was padded with boring talk. The only problem I'd see in a re-make is that they'd make Slithis CGI and the gore CGI, ugh.

Yeah, a remake would be interesting!

only if they remake it exactly as it was, frame by frame. The drawing in the frame of the guy on the boat must also be included. And the police chief. Or was I hallucinating? Venice canals!!!

This film doesn't need a remake; it's fine the way it is.
