Was the Christopher Plummer character supposed to be gay?

There were times when he acted very effeminate, plus he wore that necklace and he seemed to always be wearing eye makeup.

Oh my gosh!! I was thinking the exact same thing!

reply

It was the 70s. Everybody was gay.

reply

I took him as more of a 'freak' in general than strictly 'gay'.

reply

Yeah, but in the sauna scene the camera pays special attention to his long nails (his or faked), also when he is running from his fisrt botched robbery, while he disposes of his Santa costume, yo can very definitely notice gay clothes and jewelry. I suppose he is a "sexual predator", most surely bi-sexual.

Anyway, he is truly frightening in his role!!!!

reply

Yeah, I'd agree with that.

Definitely one of the slimiest, sickest villains of all-time. I so hated his character. Plummer was great in the role.

I came here to ask this very question

(Spoiler)

Dija notice when Plummer is first in the Apt he looks like he some eye liner on? Maybe they shot that the same day as the finale (when hes in drag)??

Well, for one thing, I´ve never seen a man wear an anklet before. Not a very "straight" little quirk, I´d say.
