'Snake in the Eagle's Shadow' Quote at the end...

For the life of me I can't remember what exactly Jackie's teacher says to him after he boasted how his Snake/Cat style defeats the Eagle-Style master. Jackie says something clever to the tune of "Eagle trapped in Cat's Claw", when his even wittier master corrects him and utters the title of the movie, "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow", which was far more appropriate.

I always loved this line because it connotes that while Chan may have won the fight, it was FAR from a flawless victory, and the possibility of his doom was not far-fetched...

Can anyone tell me exactly they say?

Thanks in advance!

Not seen it in a while, but all Jackie's character says is that he combined the Snake Fist style with the Cat's Claw. His master then says he doesn't like the name Cat's Claw (sounds too much like Eagle's Claw) and that it should be calle Snake in Eagle's Shadow.

A late reply, but better late than never I guess.

This is how the dialog went:

Old master Pai Cheng-Tien: "Chien-fu, that was brilliant!"

Old master Pai Cheng-Tien: "You combined Snake's Fist with
cat's claw to destroy the Eagle's Claw."

Old master Pai Cheng-Tien: "Such an elegant solution
deserves an elegant name."

Chien Fu: "Master, you name it."

Old master Pai Cheng-Tien: "How about..."

Old master Pai Cheng-Tien: "'Snake in the eagle's shadow.'"

Chien Fu: "'Snake in the eagle's shadow' it is!"

reply

I saw it last night and that's NOT how it went.
