Hmm...I don't know about Phyllis Diller: I mean, wasn't one of the things people hate about this movie is the fact that a lady close to being 100 years old is playing a sex symbol? And if this were a remake, shouldn't a remake improve upon the original?
I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.
Phyllis Diller has made a career out of looking older and uglier than she really is. My old trombonist roommate played in her band when she came thru town a couple of years ago and he said she's a total gas! (Joan Rivers, on the other hand, might be an intriguing choice!)
Also, my current roommie left a 2006 Playboy mag lying around and in it is a full-frontal nude shot of 70-year-old Mamie Van Doren. Grrrr-owwwwwrr!!!!!!

Unearth Mae West and let her mummy play her role again. She would do it if she was asked and enough yummy young co-stars were offered to her for... sacrifice.
Definitely Madonna.She could pull it off and even make it a hit.With Daniel Craig in the Timothy Dalton role.And lots of gay dancers.
