If you find this movie on PPV like our family did this evening, it's worth the $1.95 it goes for here. Was a very good, exciting, fast paced movie.
The plot was very believable, and everyone under our roof enjoyed it.
If there was more love in the world, there'd probably be a lot less dyin'.

Can you please tell me if there is a pet seal or sea lion in this movie.
And at the end of the movie the bear chases the family and they hope onto a makeshift raft and escape, and the children are calling the seal or sea lion which is left behind.

That be the one! The coast they end up on has a colony (?) of sea lioins or seals and there is one baby one that takes up with the kids. They've made a canoe of sorts out of canvas and tree limbs, and hop on and escape from that bear that keeps chasing them. They do yell to the sea lion but I don't know that they pull him from the water- There are 2 dogs, one that was with them on the ship, and one from a previous castaway who died who swims out to them... :o)

Just got this old movie for Christmas and watched it. It has been a long long time for me since I saw this when I was a little kid in the very early 1980s.
the bear at the end of the movie scared the hell out of me especially when it was standing outside of that homemade house that the gals made at the end of the movie. Holy crap LOL
