Actually, for it to be a tv show, it would have to be multiple 'episodes' if it's reality tv or not. It was a documentary.

True. If that was case...wouldn't every interactive documentary ever made be considered a "reality" program?

Editors are all over productions called "Reality TV". But thats a whole other topic I guess.

Documentaries have been around since the invention of the motion picture camera, but to as far as saying this pioneered reality TV.... I agree... A whole nother topic! & endless discussion between Documentary & Reality TV
