What movie am i thinking of?

When i was kid in the late 70's, i saw a bigfoot movie/documentary at the theater, and since being an adult have tried to remember what the exact name was but can't. The most memorable scene was in a house at night and the people inside hear noises outside and then before you know it, a large hairy arm breaks through the window smashing the lamp and causing great havok. i just remember this being very scary as a child and would love to try and find this movie on either VHS or DVD. can anyone that remembers this movie help me?

Sounds like "The Legend of Boggy Creek". I'll bet you won't find it so scary now ;) It is available on DVD. Enjoy!

I think I know what you are talking about. I was about 7 or 8, so it must have been about 1975 or 76. It was done in that documentary style and I thought it also included the Loch Ness Monster???

Does that ring a bell? I would be so curious to find this movie. I remember it scared the heck out of me!

Thanks for this information! I think it is, I guess when I was a little kid I thought that voice was from Leonard Nimoy!

I wonder if I will ever see this movie again.

You can find "The Mysterious Monsters" on Ebay all day long......lol

Are you sure it isn't this film you are thinking of.There was an arm coming through the window at the hunters cabin.This is also semi documentary.

What movie is that? It has been so long since i last saw this movie. easily 25 years or more. Thanks for everyones help. i will check back later to see if anyone else has posted. thanks.

That's this movie. I saw this as a kid in the theater. I found it on DVD. It is presented as a documentary, though very toungue-in-cheek. They try to catch him at the end of this one by setting up trip wires and radio transmitters, while they wait in trees with radios and tranquilizer guns. He does reach through a cabin window and shakes the heck out of a guy. This scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

thanks. I'll have to check this one out then. I think it was just released along with someother bigfoot movies as a set. I'll watch it and post if this was the movie or not.

Although IMDB shows this as a 1977 release, Variety shows this title from the same distributor was already making the rounds in late 1971.

Both "Mysterious Monsters" and "Sasquatch: Legend of Bigfoot" have scenes with the arm breaking through a window to grab at someone inside... MM features a lady on her couch, and S:LoB features the Ape Canyon story.

Is there a scene where the arm gets cut off and continues to twitch and move? I also seem to recall that the room was flooded.

wow, I was just trying to explain the same thing to someone the other day. As a kid back in the 70s,I remember seeing a trailer or something on TV that scared the hell out of me. I'm glad to see other people have seen this. Great info, thanks

I remember watching one also at the movies and I think it was this one but can't remember. It was early mid 70's and the one thing I do remember was that before the movie there was someone who came to the theater with it that told us about Sasquatch and the search for him and stuff. That stuck in my mind every since because I have ever seen that happen before. Does anyone else remember that?

Same here! I remember that exact scene as a kid in the 70s, and have never forgotten it. Pseudo-documentaries were huge back then, plus we were freaked out weekly by "In Search Of..." :) Those were great days, weren't they?
