I just want to see the Indian Boy scene again

I don't care about the movie much, but that commercial scared the Bejesus out of me when I was a kid.

Anyone know where I can just see THAT scene?

The "Indian Boy" scene was not in the movie, but in the tv commercial advertising the movie. (I do not know if it was in the theatrical movie trailer as well).

The scene, as I recall it, showed a little Indian boy walking through the woods, actually through a clearing, shooting off arrows at nothing in particular. We are watching this little boy from the point of view of Sasquatch, from within the woods. One of the little boys arrows lands at the edge of the woods. He goes to retrieve it. He reaches down to take it, just then a big hairy foot stomps down on the ground right next to the little boys hand. The little boy looks up at the creature and then runs away in fright.

Why they had this scene in the tv commercial, but not in the movie, I dont know. But its a good scene. So good that I still remember it despite the fact that I havent seen it in 30+ years, since the movies original release.

And by the way, I've been looking for that commercial online and off for quite a long time and have yet to find it.

I have the DVD, but only the Theatrical trailer is included. The scene you mention, if it was indeed part of the TV trailer, isn't there, so I can't be of any help.

Sorry.

Here's a snippet of a review (posted november 3, 2003) right here on IMDB:

"I remember seeing this is the theatrical version of the film I saw but its not on the video version I bought. It was the part that scared me the most as a kid. It shows a little Indian brave out hunting alone and you see a Bigfoot stalking him. He comes face to face with the monster and it begins to chase him. It was horrifying to watch and maybe thats why they took it out of the film."

So apparently this indian boy scene WAS in the theatrical release of the film, but for whatever reason, cut out when it was released on video. Apparently I was wrong about the indian boy scene not being in the original movie.

I never got to see this in the movie theater. I only saw it from time to time on tv around the late 1970s to early 80s. And when the movie aired on tv, I dont recall the Indian scene at all. They must've edited it out.

Obviously, the versions that have been released on DVD/Video is not the FULL version.

Could it be that the scene existed in some prints sent to theaters, but not in others? That it was edited out?

late to the party but I also have vague memories of some film where a boy was running from bigfoot (if memory serves correct they showed this from bigfoot's view of him chasing the boy). Something along the lines of the boy throwing something (towrds a tree??) and then being chased because he hit the creature. I too also recall seeing it as an ad for a film on TV

SO I do not think the original postetr is wrong, as I did see they same thing they had back then and it too scared the hell out of me

99% of you people send me PM's with questions and never bother to check that I replied to them.

What DVD? Can you describe the trailer? PLEASE! I'm too young to have been around when the film came out, I want to find out all that I can about it.

BTW, the DVD, I have the triple pack, it isn't that one?
