I have a very big question that has eluded me for over 15 years

I have been trying to find this movie for 15 years plus and all I rem was when I was a kid it scared the hell out of me.The sceen I rem is where there is this log cabin in the woods and there this creature that look to be made out of mud ,anyway somebody leave's the cabin and this thing grab them and was under the steps.Could anybody please tell me if this is that movie or what the name of it I know it was back in the late 70's early 80's it was on tv..Thanks alot just please email me with any info at [email protected] any help would be great ..I know it was a Sasqutch movie That I sure off..
