Revenge of the Pink Panther

In my opinion, Revenge of The Pink Panther was just as good as The Pink Panther Strikes Again. I disagree with people saying that this is the weakest in the Panther series. Revenge of the PP was way better than Return of The PP.

I almost agree. I think Revenge was just as good as Return, wich is great! The weakest is the first one.

I think both Revenge and Strikes Back have their hilarious points. I don't particularly like the gay bar scene in Strikes Back but Seller's expressions are priceless. I also think the Godfather part in Revenge is a bit over the top.

Cato's redecorating of Clousseau's apartment into a brothel is hilarious as well as the scenes at Ball's costumes and the Salty Svedish Seadog.

I love the fight sequence from Strikes Back, the slow-motion moaning! LOL! "The phune is ring-ging!", the questioning of ths staff at the Fusbender mansion, the ruuuume/zimmer scene and the anaestetic cotton vool/laughing gas scene are classic! I counted 7 times that Clousseau falls into the moat while trying to get into the castle. It's like a Warner Bros's cartoon!!

Did you count the time he tried to get out of the castle in your tally, or does that bring the count up to 8?

To be honest with you, I saw this movie only once when this movie first came out and it did not make much of an impression on me. Contrast that with Return and Strikes Again, which I have seen multiple times. However, I will give it the benefit of the doubt and rent the DVD. Maybe I was in a bad mood that day.

Well, you don't have to like it. But tell us your impression when you've seen it.

Revenge is the only one of the PP series I ahve seen straight through.

PS: at the Lee Kee boatyards, the French language captions translate it as "Chantiers Kou-li" and the Spanish captions make it as "Astilleros Mo Tea."

Interesting to me. BTW, what does "Kou-Li" or "Mo Tea" translate to?
