what do you think of this movie?

I enjoyed it just as much as the other films in the Panther series.

to be honest I thought it was kinda poor Jacques Clouseau seemed even stupider this time round....though I guess it makes sense since it's likely his indured brain damage the film seemed to rely very heavily on one joke diguses and the return of Inspector Dreyfus after being killed off in the last one........all in all this was a tired entry and a disapointing way for Sellers to end his signature role

Whilst it still has some laughs and a few bright spots (but only a few especially when compared to the earlier efforts), this is definitely the dullest and least funny of the "true" (Peter Sellers)Inspector Clouseau films. I know that originally Peter Sellers had intended this to be Clouseau's swansong but was persuaded to have one more outing and right up to his untimely death had been working on that true finale entitled "Romance of the Pink Panther". Obviously with his passing however the series should have with "Revenge of the Pink Panther" and it was stupid and insulting that Blake Edwards kept trying to continue without Peter Sellers.

About the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the movie is stronger with humor and no dragging, but the last 1/3 to 1/2 of it (Hongkong trip & the Simone apartment visit were barely funny and dragged). They did not fit the series.

I very much agree! Very good in the first half, but very poor in the last half.

My favourite Pink Panther movie; "nuttiest" of them all, most action and funniest scenes of all the movies, in my oppinion.

Definitely the funniest and most underrated one of them all. "Revenge" and "Return" are the 2 best in the series IMHO.

This one was decent, just watched it a second time around. Closseau dressed as a pirate is classic! I wonder if this where Disney got the idea of Pirates of the Caribbean. LOL. My two favorites though are Return of the Pink Panther, and A Shot In the Dark.

I tried my hardest, but I could not get into it. I love Peter Sellers, Dyan Cannon and the rest of the cast, and I'm a huge Blake Edwards fan otherwise, but Pink Panther films just have never done it for me. 5/10 stars.

I think it´s underrated ie not notably less funny than the 2 previous films. Which, in a large part, must have something to do with my always having found Sellers amusing, regardless the role; the Swedish sailor and the mafioso in particular are pretty hilarious. As is the scene outside the bakery when he and Cato are trying to absent mindedly figure out what to do with the muffin - great, and pretty understated, comedy there.
